Alabama Income Eligibility Guidelines
ACEF AL scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. In compliance with the Alabama Accountability Act, scholarships are prioritized in the following order:
- First priority is given to students zoned for a “failing school’, as determined by the Alabama Department of Education. Check the 2018 list of failing schools to see if yours is included.
- Second priority is given to students not zoned for a “failing school.” In compliance with the law, scholarships cannot be awarded to these students until July 31 of each year.
The adjacent chart is for 2017–18 income guidelines. If your income level is at or below these numbers (185% of poverty level) or if you are eligible for free or reduced lunch, you may qualify.
